MIS: Modern International School
Montessori kindergarten and primary International Private School in Tangier

The school is a micro-society with clearly defined rules, where students spend 6 to 8 hours a day

At MIS Private Primary School, we aim to encourage students to be active, involved, and responsible members of the school community, rather than simply passive consumers of education.

To achieve this, we have created a Student Council.

During regular meetings, students discuss ways to improve the school, make decisions, and vote on initiatives to enhance their second home – MIS primary school.

”They feel a sense of belonging and ownership.”

Each "Student Council" action goes through five phases:

1

Brainstorming to collect ideas, organize them, sort them, choose the most feasible ones, and vote on the best idea to be implemented.

2

Preparation of the team that will carry out the action voted on.

3

Fundraising for the necessary resources to implement the action.

4

Implementation of the action.

5

Follow-up and reporting on the action's outcomes.

By participating in the Student Council , our students learn valuable skills such as teamwork, leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving. It also provides them with a platform to express their opinions and ideas, fostering a sense of autonomy and responsibility within the school community.
