MIS Method: Happiness and success

The MIS Method : established by Mrs. Taleb, aims to promote the happiness and success of our students, placing them on a path towards excellence. This approach is based on several key principles:

1
A Caring Environment:

Providing a caring and supportive environment is fundamental to our school’s ethos.Groupe Scolaire

A relationship of trust between teachers and students

In the MIS Method, teachers aim to establish a relationship of trust with their students, valuing effort and recognizing good behavior. Instead of stigmatizing mistakes, teachers use them as opportunities to help children improve their knowledge. In this approach, errors are seen as useful tools for academic progress.

Transmission of values

The children continue to learn, on a daily basis, about sharing, patience, respect for others, limits, and the rules of collective life. A weekly meeting is held to discuss questions concerning the functioning of the school. Adults and children work together to find solutions to problems.Groupe Scolaire

3
Flexible classes

In the MIS Method, classrooms are flexibly organized, utilizing multiple modules and furniture to create various classroom layouts and allow children to select their preferred work and concentration positions. The modules are stacked to conserve space, and the lower ones can also serve as seating.

Additionally, each classroom is equipped with an Interactive Digital Board (IDB), which is always used under the supervision of the teachers.

The official program and basic learning

The primary school serves as a logical continuation of kindergarten and plays an essential role in each child's educational journey.

1

The Arabic and French speaking teachers follow the official program of the National Education for the curriculum of French, mathematics, history, geography, and civilization.

2

Learning begins in kindergarten using official textbooks with the aid of concrete, sensory didactic materials, adapted to each child's pace of learning.

3

An innovative analytical approach allows children to learn how to read between the ages of 4 and 7, as they start to recognize words before they can read them.

4

The acquisition of fundamental mathematical concepts is also accomplished through the continuation of activities begun in kindergarten with concrete didactic material. These materials provide children with the opportunity to move slowly into abstraction when their developmental level allows, between the ages of 5 and 8.

5

The MIS Method places a strong emphasis on teaching geography, history, and biology. Each year, all elementary classes work on a common theme that is taught through "collective" presentations given by either teachers or students.

6

Furthermore, it is considered essential that students have a solid and enduring foundation in core subjects before entering middle school, particularly in a multilingual setting.
